Victoria Halliwell
I am a creative and commercially-minded human resources executive with experience in retail, leisure, media, education and technology. I have a particular strength in helping organisations manage the balance of people, profit and corporate responsibilities. I have specialist experience in start-ups, international HR, business transformation and change programmes.
I have worked for companies such as Marks and Spencer, Time Warner, Electronic Arts and Whitbread. Most recently I was Human Resources Director and a member of the Executive team at TSL Education, publishers of the Times Educational Supplement and Times Higher Education. I have worked in a number of start-up environments, including a technology assignment in the San Francisco Bay area and Costa Coffees retail joint venture in Shanghai, China.I have particular expertise in change management and have been involved in a number of acquisitions and business sales.
I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. I also hold a Certificate of Competence in Psychological Testing from the British Psychological Society, an Honours degree in Retail Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. I am a Partner in Mindfulness Sussex offering public and private Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses. I live near Haywards Heath in West Sussex with my husband Ed Halliwell and son.
