My experience spans retail, leisure, media, technology and not-for-profits. I have worked in management roles for companies such as Marks and Spencer, Warner Music UK, Electronic Arts, Whitbread, Costa Coffee (China), TSL Global. More recently as HR Director. I have also worked on an interim / consultancy basis for a number of organisations including David Lloyd Leisure and The Princes Trust.
I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. I also hold a Certificate of Competence in Psychological Testing from the British Psychological Society and am a qualified SHL occupational personality questionnaire practitioner.
I am director and co-founder of Mindfulness Sussex Ltd trading as Work with Mindfulness, Mindfulness London, Mindfulness Sussex and Mindfulness Retreats offering public and private Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction courses and retreats. My own mindfulness practice informs my consultancy work and I have deepened my practice on several extended meditation retreats including a month long silent retreat. I have completed a mindfulness-in-relationship foundation course with Karuna Institute as well as a mindfulness teacher development training (TTR1) at Bangor University.
I have been lucky enough to able to combine my career with things that I feel passionately about, this has included: Training as an RYA Ocean Yachtmaster and PADI diver and then running charter and dive yachts in the Caribbean. Volunteering with Earthwatch and spending time in Namibia with the Cheetah Conservation Fund and in Hawaii with the Dolphin Intelligence Project. Working with TimeBank as a volunteer refugee mentor. Taking lessons and facing my very real fear of singing in public!
I live in West Sussex with my husband Ed Halliwell and two sons.
